Dave Dellasega

Dave Dellasega | President and CEO

Dave joined GPHA in 2000 as the Chief Financial Officer and assumed the CEO role in 2013. Dave has over 30 years of experience in health care, including service to many GPHA hospitals during his 18 years in public accounting. Dave lives very close to a golf course, where he spends a majority of his spare time.

Durrel Kelley

Durrel Kelley | Chief Operations Officer

Durrel has over 40 years of experience in health care financials. He previously worked for Grant Thornton and BKD as a Partner and Director respectively. Durrel came to GPHA in June of 2011. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (Sunflower Chapter), Chairman of the Derby Economic Development Board, Vice-chair of Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital, Inc., and a member of KHA Council on Policy and Advocacy.

Brenda Olson

Brenda Olson | MEd, CHP, RHIA, Vice President for Health Information Management

Brenda has worked for GPHA since 1994, coming from the Kansas Foundation for Medical Care as a reviewer and manager. She is actively involved with health information management activities within the GPHA facilities and on State and National committees. She is also involved with HIPAA and is an AHIMA Approved ICD-10 trainer. She enjoys watching sporting activities, reading, traveling and spending time with her family in her free time.

Darin Walk

Darin D. Walk | Vice President for Information Systems

Darin started with GPHA in 1991 after working for three years as Director of Fiscal Services at a GPHA managed facility. Darin’s work is mainly focused on General Financial Modules including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Materials Management, Fixed Assets and Budgeting. Darin enjoys his work immensely, and looks forward to on-site projects with employees at all GPHA hospitals.

Curt Colson

Curt Colson | Vice President for Regional Operations

Curt came to GPHA in January 2015 with seventeen years of healthcare management experience in For-Profit, Not-For-Profit and Academic Medicine settings.  Curt has been successful in multiple-site management, cultivating physician relations, improving operational efficiencies and practice acquisition while serving as an administrator with Concentra, Satanta District Hospital, Kansas University Medical Center and most recently Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington, Kansas.  He currently serves as Chair of Kansas Health Service Corp and is a member of the KHA’s Hospital Governance Task Force.  Since 2005, Curt has been appointed to various community and healthcare committees such as BCBS of Kansas Hospital Advisory Committee, Hoisington Utility Task Force, the Kansas E-Community Leadership Team, Kansas CAH State Network, Pioneer Health Network and a local hospital foundation.  Curt’s wife Liana is a Pediatric Physical Therapist and they have two children.

Les Lacy

Les Lacy | Vice President for Regional Operations

Les Lacy has worked in almost every department of the hospital except the business office. He has been in health care since 1977, and has been a Registered Nurse since 1982. Les served as the administrator of Cheyenne County Hospital for almost 20 years before accepting his current position as Vice President for Regional Operations for GPHA in 2012. Les has served as an examiner for the Kansas Award for Excellence, the Kansas analog to the Baldridge program. Les lives on a small acreage with his wife, Jane, and many small farm animals. He enjoys bicycle riding and a variety of shop and outdoor activities. Les and Jane have 3 children who are “graduated from college, gainfully employed, and married.” No grandchildren…. yet.

Mike Ruggiero

Mike Ruggiero | Vice President for Regional Operations

Mike previously worked for Grant Thornton for eight (8) years in the Audit Department specializing in the healthcare industry before coming to GPHA in 2006. He graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and earned a Master’s in Healthcare Leadership from Friends University. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Mike likes to spend his free time hunting, fishing, playing softball, and being with family and friends.

J. H. Seitz | Vice President for Regional Operations

JH has been an RVP with GPHA since 2000, working with many hospitals in that time. JH covers a lot of our GPHA hospitals in the North and Northeast regions.

Angie Martin

Angie Martin | Sr. Manager, Billing and Coverage

Angie joined GPHA at the Central Billing Office in 2011. She previously owned her own company ‘Excellence in Hospital Billing and Reimbursement’ and was employed by BCBS of Kansas for 32 years, working primarily with hospitals. Angie specializes in Medicare training and on-site review of billing and payment. She also conducts educational seminars and charge master reviews. Angie and her husband, Tony, enjoy spending time with their 5 grandchildren.

Deb Weaver

Debra Weaver | Vice President for Fiscal Services

Deb came to GPHA in 2006 after working as a CFO for ten years at a rural Kansas hospital. She has worked 30 years in healthcare in various capacities. Deb and her husband, Greg, have one son and two grandchildren. Deb enjoys spending time with the grandchildren and being outdoors.

Tim Kerr

Tim Kerr | Vice President for Pharmacy Services

Tim Kerr joined GPHA in 2013. Tim is an experienced consultant with extensive background in both community pharmacy and hospital pharmacy. Since coming to GPHA Tim’s focus has been on the development of highly reliable and safe medication processes for all GPHA hospitals. He truly enjoys working with the hospitals and communities throughout the Midwest, as well as the great staff at GPHA. Tana Sells

Tana Sells | Chief Information Officer

Tana has been with Midwest Health Systems since it began in October of 2003. Before coming to MHS, she worked for 8 years at Hays Medical Center, in the Business Office and Information Technology Department. Tana resides in Russell with her husband Roger, they have two children Chelsea and Nicholas. Tana enjoys golfing and running in her free time.

Ken Abendshien

Ken Abendshien | Technology, Special Projects

Ken graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1970, and then began his career in health care as accountant at Hadley Regional Medical Center, Hays, KS. After three years in accounting, Ken was selected to create the Data Processing Department and oversee the installation of HRMC’s first computer system. Over the next 30 years, Ken expanded the hospitals data center to a regional support organization providing services to Hadley Regional Medical Center (later merged with St. Anthony Hospital to become Hays Medical Center) and 37 regional members of the High Plains Medical Information Network. Today 26 of those 37 hospitals have joined together in forming Midwest Health Systems Data Center a department of Great Plains Health Alliance. Ken has served as President of the Kansas Chapter of HIMSS, first in 1988 as the charter president, and then again in 1998. He also is a national board member for the Vision User Group of the Siemens MedSeries/4 healthcare software based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ken has presented nationally at HIMSS, Vision User Group meetings, and a meeting sponsored by the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Office of Rural Health Policy. Ken and his wife Linda, have two children, Shari Meredith of Hays and Lisa Beebe of Raymore, Mo. Shari and her husband Michael have two children, Bradyn and Shayla. Lisa and her husband Ken have two children, Jali and Kenli.

Robert Lies

Robert Lies | Information Security Officer and Contract Administrator

Bob joined GPHA in January of 2010 as Project Manager. He has been in the IT profession since 1972. Prior to GPHA, Bob was a CIO at a local Regional Medical Center for 17 years, and prior to that, he was an IT Director at a large retail home improvement center for 25 years. Bob and his wife Marilyn, who is a retired school teacher, reside in Colwich, just outside of Wichita. They have 4 children, and stay busy with their 16 grandchildren.

Frank Becker

Frank Becker | Senior Systems Engineer

Frank began his career at GPHA as IT director for one of the leased facilities, where he was responsible for all IT operations. He joined GPHA in 2010. In this role, Frank assists facilities with IT projects, maintains connectivity as well as consulting services in the areas of security, regulatory compliance and information technology in general.

Kerry Kellerman

Kerry Kellerman | Network Manager

Kerry is a 1984 graduate of Fort Hays State University with an Associate of Science degree in Data Processing. Kerry has worked with information technology for 31 years with the last 17 years being in healthcare. Kerry is an active member of Rotary International, the Kansas Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, and the Kansas Hospital Association. Kerry lives in Phillipsburg with his wife and 3 children.
