Our History... Great Plains Health Care Foundation was formed in 1982 as the result of the merger of Great Plains Lutheran Hospitals, Inc. and Community Health Alliance, a multi-hospital division of Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. The Foundation encompasses the reorganization of the membership of Great Plains Lutheran Hospitals. GPHCF is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation which has been set up by Great Plains Health Alliance in order for us to continue to dedicate our efforts to providing a coherent and responsive approach to the healthcare needs of the communities in the Midwest. We ask for your support to strengthen Great Plains Health Care Foundation in order to assist Great Plains Health Alliance to meet the current and future healthcare needs of these communities. We continue to build our funding level in order to provide programs of research or assistance in our rural areas, we certainly believe the Foundation is still an important program to have as part of the Great Plains relationship with rural hospitals and rural healthcare. Please give serious consideration to this request. With your help, we can continue to help the hospitals meet today's needs and prepare them for tomorrow. We want you to know that we sincerely appreciate your support of our Foundation. Roger John |
