Our People... The GPHA staff offers comprehensive expertise in the management of community health care organizations. They are a team of diverse specialists with extensive experience in dealing with the unique health care challenges of rural communities. Our staff members have served in leadership positions on a number of state and national committees and are powerful spokespersons on behalf of rural health care and the community. By staying ahead of developments in the health care delivery system, they can help small hospitals meet current and emerging challenges with innovative solutions. Guiding GPHA is a 12-member board composed of representatives
from communities in which participating hospitals are located. Staff from GPHA hospitals meet regularly at "roundtables" to discuss a variety of issues confronting the community hospital. Topics include health information management, infection control, nursing educations, risk management, quality assurance, business office procedures and much more -- any topic critical to hospitals' continued well-being. These "roundtables" not only enable participants to share ideas and gain new perspectives on issues but also offer opportunities for future networking and mutual support among hospitals. Roundtables give local employees the opportunity to influence policies and procedures on the corporate level. By working together, we can help each other find new, more innovative solutions. |
