About the Great Plains Health Care Foundation

Great Plains Health Care Foundation was formed in 1982 as the result of the merger of Great Plains Lutheran Hospitals, Inc. and Community Health Alliance, a multi-hospital division of Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. The Foundation encompasses the reorganization of the membership of Great Plains Lutheran Hospitals.

GPHCF is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation that has been set up by Great Plains Health Alliance in order for us to continue to dedicate our efforts to providing a coherent and responsive approach to the healthcare needs of the communities in the Midwest.

A Message from the Foundation’s President and CEO

“We ask for your support to strengthen Great Plains Health Care Foundation in order to assist Great Plains Health Alliance to meet the current and future healthcare needs of these communities.

We continue to build our funding level in order to provide programs of research or assistance in our rural areas and we certainly believe the Foundation is an important program to have as part of the Great Plains relationship with rural hospitals and rural healthcare.

With your help, we can continue to help the hospitals meet today’s needs and prepare them for tomorrow. We want you to know that we sincerely appreciate your support of our Foundation, and our mission to provide the highest quality healthcare to the communities we serve.”
